This strong commitment to non-profit values in community care at a large scale is made possible by an unprecedented gift to the public made by two of Canada’s most prolific philanthropists: Walter and Maria Schroeder. The Schroeders set out to solve the problem of excessive wait times for routine medical procedures and overstretched health human resources, while helping to build a more efficient public health system for the future.

The Schroeder Ambulatory Centre Foundation is a separate, independent charitable non-profit that supports the Centre. It raises funds to support growth and operations, and also owns and manages the Centre’s facility infrastructure.
