Dr. Geoff Blackbyrne is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, with certification from both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He holds Fellowship (FRCPC) in Internal Medicine and is recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in Geriatric Medicine.
A Toronto native, Dr. Blackbyrne completed his medical degree at University College Cork in Ireland, followed by residency in Internal Medicine at The MetroHealth System/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He went on to serve as a Geriatric Medicine physician and Assistant Professor at MetroHealth and Case Western Reserve University, where he provided inpatient consultations, outpatient internal medicine and geriatric care, and mentored medical trainees.
Dr. Blackbyrne is now returning home to Canada to join the Schroeder Ambulatory Centre, where he looks forward to applying his expertise in internal medicine and geriatrics to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
