Dr. Brian Stotland

Dr. Stotland has been on staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre since 2001. He was Head of the Division of Gastroenterology there from 2013 until 2023, where he previously served there as President of the Medical Staff. He is the hospital’s Endoscopy Lead to Cancer Care Ontario. He is an Assistant Professor [part-time] at the University of Toronto. He graduated with a B.Sc. and then MD from McGill University.

He completed internship at Cornell University and residency in internal medicine at Boston University. He then completed separate fellowships in gastroenterology and advanced therapeutic endoscopy at the University of Pennsylvania.

He then returned to Boston University as Assistant Professor of Medicine, Director of Endoscopic Ultrasound and Clinical Director. Dr. Stotland is a Royal College of Canada certified gastroenterologist with a specific focus and interest in ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease, as well as therapeutic and interventional endoscopy. He is actively involved in many ongoing gastroenterology clinical trials.
