The Orthopedics clinic located at Schroeder Ambulatory Centre is led by Dr. Christopher Lu, and provides comprehensive orthopedic clinical care for patients dealing with a range of joint and tendon-related pain, stiffness and lack of mobility. Our clinic is co-located with a range of other specialized and primary care clinics, diagnostic imaging and surgical services, and provides an exceptional patient experience down to the smallest detail.

People suffering from orthopedic-related conditions often experience a significant impact to their quality of life. Muscle stiffness, joint pain and swelling, clicking and grinding, numbness and lack of movement are common symptoms—all of which take a toll on physical and mental wellness. The compassionate interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses and patient support staff at our Centre provide convenient, quality care that gets patients back to enjoying their normal activities as quickly as possible.

Medication injections, rehabilitation support, referrals to on-site diagnostic imaging and orthopedic surgery, bracing and orthotics assessments, pain management and more are provided at Schroeder Ambulatory Centre’s orthopedics clinic. Where surgery and further clinical intervention are required, the Centre provides a seamless patient experience to continue patients’ treatment plans in a cutting-edge environment outfitted with the latest in medical and surgical technology designed with their needs in mind. Pain management, neurology, geriatrics and other expert-led clinics are conveniently located steps away on the same floor of the facility.

Important information for Orthopedic clinic patients

This is a non-surgical orthopedics clinic—however, orthopedic surgery is available within the same building. Patients requiring surgery will conveniently receive a referral from our Orthopedics clinic to surgery, diagnostic imaging and other specialized treatment as clinically-appropriate.

Please note that not all injection therapies are covered by OHIP. PEMF and regenerative therapies may be available—please ask your physician for more information. Patients and families will be provided objective information to guide their decision making in selecting the treatment option that they feel is right for them.

When you arrive at the Centre, you will check in with our patient support team on the 5th floor (L5). All of our clinics are also located on the 5th floor (L5), and are fully accessible by elevators located both near the main entrance and where you enter from the parking garage.

Our friendly patient support staff are happy to help with any mobility issues you may have, or just to help you find your way around. If you need any additional support, please mention so when you book your appointment or when you check in at the desk!
