Dr. Piero Tartaro graduated from the University of Toronto medical school in 2003 and completed his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology residency at Western University. Dr. Tartaro completed a Masters of Science in Community Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health in 2012 with a focus on Health Practitioner Teacher Education.
He joined the Division of Gastroenterology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in 2011. He has been involved in medical education at Sunnybrook and the University of Toronto at both the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
