Eligibility

We can only accept patients that fit specific eligibility criteria. This is for several reasons related to ensuring patient safety and the best possible result:

• Our surgeons perform a high volume of hip replacement surgeries. In order to do this, they need to ensure that the surgeries they do are relatively “simple”, so that they can do them both quickly and safely.
• Patients with more complex issues might require additional considerations or preparation for their surgery, or they might need to stay overnight afterwards (which we cannot accommodate).
• Our priority is always patient safety and the best possible outcome. Taking only relatively simple cases means that we can help hospitals reduce their backlogs and focus on providing more complex care, while taking the type of patients who would benefit most from having their hip replacement surgery done in the community.

Patients require a physician referral.
